    • Florence Marina State Park offers six cottages for rent along with RV and tent camping sites. Two cottages are dog-friendly and pet fees are $40.00, per-pet, per-night. Guests are restricted to two dogs to a cabin. Cabins have fully stocked kitchens and bathrooms. The park is lakeside and has a lighted pier, 66 boat slips, boat ramps, group shelter, two playgrounds and miniature golf.

      Florence Marina activities are all about outdoor enjoyment. Visitors can engage in boating, Jet-Skiing, fishing, hiking, bird-watching and golf. White-water rafting is available and several fairs and festivals run throughout the year. Antique shops and flea markets are close by.

    Florence Marina Area Attractions

    • Visitors to the Florence Marina area may experience such wonders as Providence Canyon. The canyon is known as "Georgia's Little Grand Canyon." Poor farming techniques of the 1800s caused the 150-foot-deep formation of the canyon. Backpackers hike along the canyon rim while viewing wildflowers, including breathtaking blooming azaleas in the spring. Backpackers are permitted to camp inside the canyon.

      Kirbo Interpretive Center offers visitors educational opportunities focusing on early Native American life.
