Mexico Beach is a small city in the Florida panhandle situated on the Gulf of Mexico. With a population of only 1,033 (according to the 2004 Census), Mexico Beach also sits apart from other Florida cities, isolated by miles of flat expanses of beach and ocean. You'll encounter few traffic lights or parking lots while driving down Highway 98 through this small town, according to the Mexico Beach website. But Mexico Beach still offers a variety of vacationing options, including rentals, camping and inexpensive motels.

Gulf View Motel is located across the street from the beach. Rooms face the ocean and include a dresser, table and chairs, television and private bathroom. The grounds include picnic tables and a porch swing. The motel doesn't offer automatic maid service, but guests may request it, if desired.
