Horse Hotels Nearest to Laughlin, Nevada

The city of Laughlin, Nev., is located in the far southwest corner of the state, on the border of the southern extension of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Just a few miles to the west is the Mojave National Preserve. Each of these two areas is riddled with horse trails, and many people take advantage of the facilities offered in the two parks by bringing their own horses and spending their time exploring the parks on horseback. Many people travel also to equestrian events in the Las Vegas region. There are a number of ranches that offer horse lodging in the Laughlin area.

    • The Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch is located near the city of Yucca, which is just off Interstate 40 to the south of Kingman, Ariz. If you would rather use one of the resident horses, that's no problem. They offer a riding program that is tailored to suit the individual rider's needs and ability.     • Arizona Country Excursions is located in Golden Valley, which is just off Route 93 to the north of Kingdom, Ariz. The ranch offers excursions into the local wilderness and can accommodate your horse if needed. They also have a number of horses that you can hire. If you want to experience the ways of the cowboys of old and sleep in the open by a campfire, this is the place for you. Excursions don't stop with horses. You can also take an ATV ride into the desert, or jet-ski on Lake Mohave or Lake Havasu.

    • The Painted Sunset Ranch is a little farther away, in Las Vegas, and has an equine bed-and-breakfast called Equine Suites & Concierge. Your horse will be stabled in a comfortable barn, and the services of a farrier and a vet are just a phone call away. If your horse has special needs, they can also be taken care of. Horse suites measure 12 feet by 12 feet with fresh bedding and mats, and you'll find an arena right next door to the stables where you can rest your horse.
