Visit the Puerto-Penasco website. It is a web portal dedicated to Rocky Point, offering a tool to check the rates of hotel rooms in the area and make a reservation. To search for a hotel, click right underneath the website's logo.
Check for RV parks. There are numerous parks in the area, but as a result of Rocky Point's location, many Americans choose to drive their way there and competition is as fierce as for hotel rooms. At Puerto-Penasco, go to "Lodging/General Info" from the top bar and then click on "RV Parks." Bear in mind that for most parks, the only way to book your place is to call them directly.
Find a host via hospitality websites. If you want to meet locals to "spice up" your vacation, then hospitality sites are just for you. Couchsurfing is a particularly popular site and has members in Rocky Point. Become a member, find a host, describe yourself and your situation and, apart from a house to stay, you might find yourself a new friend.
Search for beach house rentals. At Puerto-Penasco, click on the "Homes" link, under the logo. You will be redirected to a similar search engine as that used to find hotel rooms. House rentals can be the best option for a large family, offering the same amenities as hotels, as well as privacy and attractive rates if you intend to stay more than a couple of days.
