The steak options at the restaurant are plentiful and include favorites such as filet mignon, rib-eye and porterhouse.     Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

    • Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, a national chain, operates a Connecticut location in Newington. The restaurant is open only in the evenings Monday through Saturday and is open from 1 to 8 p.m. Sundays. The company dates to the Chris Steakhouse, which opened in New Orleans in 1927. Specialty steaks at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse include the filet, rib-eye, cowboy rib-eye, New York strip, porterhouse and T-bone.     • Morton's is a national steakhouse chain with Connecticut locations in Stamford and Hartford. The first restaurant was opened in Chicago in 1978, and now the chain has 75 locations worldwide. The signature steaks available on Morton's dinner menu include the double-cut filet mignon, porterhouse, double porterhouse, New York strip, Chicago-style rib-eye and prime rib. The restaurant also features smaller steaks, with names such as the cajun rib-eye and filet oskar. Entrees besides steaks at Morton's include chicken, sea bass, salmon, shrimp, crab legs and lobster. The wine menu at Morton's features wines made in the United States, as well as imports from France, Italy, Spain, New Zealand and Chile. Private dining rooms at the Stamford and Hartford locations can accommodate a party of up to 72 people.
