Do you need to have a window in bedroom the state of Texas?

According to the Texas Residential Code, habitable rooms (including bedrooms) must have at least one operable window or egress door that provides direct access to the exterior of the building. The window must be large enough to allow for emergency escape and must meet certain minimum size requirements.
