    Circle G Campground

    • Located in the West Central Illinois town of Carthage, the Circle G Campground is less than 30 minutes from the hiking and fishing opportunities at Argyle Lake State Park. The amenities at this 40-acre campground include a 14-acre lake that is stocked with fish, laundromat, boat rentals and a general store that sells groceries and RV supplies. The campground's pavilion can be used for private parties and banquets. The RV campsites have access to Wi-Fi Internet, and offer hookups for water, electricity and sewage. Tent camping is permitted. Pets are allowed, but they must be kept on a leash when outside of the RV.

    Evening Star Camping Resort

    • The Evening Star resort is in the Greater Peoria area, and it is less than 20 minutes from fishing and boating opportunities on the Illinois River. The 35-acre campground is a 10 minute drive from hiking and bird watching activities at Chautaugua National Wildlife Refuge. Evening Star's amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, laundromat, dump station, playgrounds, a stocked fishing pond, walking trails throughout the campground's property and a pavilion with a game room. The pavilion can also be used for group gatherings. Campsites for RVs and tents have water, electric and sewage hookups. A convenience store is available for campers to buy groceries and RV supplies.

    D & W Lake Campground

    • The D & W Lake Campground, situated in Champaign, is open year round. It is only a 20 minute drive from football, basketball and baseball games held at the campus of the University of Illinois. Amenities at this campground include shower facilities, a playground, basketball court, dump station and a lake that can be used for fishing and boating. Pets are allowed to stay, but they must be kept on a leash. The campground's office sells groceries and RV supplies. Water, electric and sewage hookups are available at RV parking sites. Tent campsites are available as well.
