The RV park sits within a 30-minute drive of the Atlanta IceForum, the Hudgens Center for the Arts, the Southeastern Railroad Museum, the Sawnee Mountain Preserve and the Chattahoochee Rapids Beach and WaterPark.     Sawnee Campground

    • The Sawnee Campground, a facility that is run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, sits on Lake Sidney Lanier, a lake where people can go fishing, boating and swimming. The campground is also found in Cumming, in an area of the city that is about 15 miles from Duluth. The facility is within a 30-minute drive of the Cumming Playhouse, the Duluth Festival Center, Lake Lanier Islands, the Duluth History Museum and the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. The camping facility features a boat launch area. Within a 10-minute drive of the campground, guests will find a marina, a store with food and supplies and a propane filling station. Amenities at the campground include a children's playground, bathrooms with showers, a dump station and pay phones. The facility has 55 RV and tent campsites, most of which have water and electrical connections. The camping facility has a restriction of three RVs per campsite. The campground is open from April until September.
