Union Grove Park, in Salado about 45 miles north of Austin, has 37 campsites with electric and water connections. The campground is located on Stillhouse Hollow Lake where campers can launch their boats and participate in boating, fishing and swimming activities. Union Grove Park has amenities like bath and shower facilities, a playground and walking paths. All but eight of Union Grove Park's campsites are on the bank of Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Campers can walk a short distance to swim and fish. The campground also has a sandy beach for swimming and picnics.

Bear Creek Campground offers 46 RV sites with electric and water connections. The campground is located on Benbrook Lake in Fort Worth, and there is a boat ramp so campers can boat, fish and swim on the lake. Amenities at Bear Creek Campground include bath and shower facilities and covered pavilions for picnics. Twenty-two of the campgrounds sites are located on the lake for easy access to the water. Camping reservations must be made at least four days before arrival and there is a two-night minimum stay required on weekends.

Oak Park Campground offers 48 RV sites with electric and water connections on Navarro Mills Lake. The campground is located in Purdon, about 40 miles south of Dallas. Amenities at Oak Park Campground include bath and shower facilities, a fishing pier and a playground. Oak Park Campground has a boat ramp. There is also a man-made beach on the lake for swimming and picnics. The sites that are closest to the lake are about 100 feet from the water.
