RV Parks Near I-95 Exits in Georgia

Interstate 95 runs roughly parallel to the Georgia coast, just a few miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean. Several campgrounds with room for recreational vehicles (RVs) are scattered along I-95 from exit 1 in the south to exit 94 in the north. Each park offers a variety of amenities for RV travelers to enjoy.
  1. South

    • On the south end of the state, I-95 provides access to three RV parks. At exit 1, Country Oaks RV Park & Campground offers bird watching, horseshoe-throwing and a book swap in the library. Country Oaks has 44 shaded, full-hookup sites. Eighteen are pull-through spots, and they offer 20-, 30- and 50-amp options. The Jacksonville North/St. Mary’s KOA has a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and movie rentals along with over 100 spaces, most of them pull-through, and both 30-amp and 50-amp hookups. Shade is sparse in this campground. Eight miles east of exit 3, Crooked River State Park offers boating, birding and miniature golf. Crooked River boasts 62 shaded sites, mostly pull-in, with 30-amp hookups. A few 50-amp are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Mid-Coastal

    • The mid-coastal area boasts four RV parks along I-95. At exit 29, the Coastal Georgia RV resort offers fishing, paddle boating and a swimming pool, while the Golden Isle RV Park offers a swimming pool, playground and free Wi-Fi. Coastal Georgia has 105 paved sites, mostly pull-through, with full hookups including 30- and 50-amp service. Golden Isle offers 160 campsites, 106 of them pull-through, with 20-, 30- and 50-amp hookups. At exit 58, Lake Harmony RV Park offers fishing, kayaking and lake swimming, while McIntosh Lake Campground and RV Park offers fishing, a social hall and free Wi-Fi. Lake Harmony has some pull-through sites with 30-amp and 50-amp hookups. McIntosh Lake also offers 30-amp and 50-amp hookups. Both parks are heavily shaded.

    North

    • The northern-most stretch of I-95 includes three RV parks. At exit 87, the Savannah South KOA offers a 35-acre lake and a swimming pool along with 127 shaded spaces, most of them pull-through, and both 30-amp and 50-amp hookups. Ten miles east of exit 90, Fort McAllister Historic Park offers boating, fishing and a civil war museum along with 65 shaded sites, many with 30-amp hookups. The Savannah Oaks RV Resort at exit 94 has a swimming pool and free Wi-Fi. It offers shady 30-amp and 50-amp pull-through sites.
