RV Parks close to Temple, Georgia

  1. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

    • Only 10 miles from Temple, in Bremen, is Jellystone Park, an RV and tent campgound that acts like an amusement park.

      Perfect for families looking for a little fun on their camping adventures, the park features a large playground and swimming pool, hayrides, train rides, miniature golf and daily special activities depending upon the season.

      RV sites include water, electrical and sewer. If you require 50 amp electrical service, you must pay an additional $3. Satellite television hookup is $3 per day. Rates as of 2010 were $22 per night plus $3 per person, and includes passes to Jellystone Park.

    Sweetwater Valley Park

    • Mine for gems, practice your golf swing or play a take-no-prisoners game of horseshoes at Sweetwater Valley Park, about 12 miles from Temple.

      The park is gated, and as of 2010, the rate for RV campsites was $20 per night and $100 per week. Sites include 30 and 50 amp electrical service. Some sites are pull-through. Kitchen facilities are available and there is a dump station and laundry facility on the grounds. The campground is handicapped accessible.

    Big Oak RV Park

    • Although its narrow roads can be a problem for larger rigs, Big Oak RV Park in Tallapoosa is only 17 miles from Temple. The park has 51 RV sites with 46 of them pull-through sites and several additional sites as backups in case the park gets full. Amenities include picnic areas, a bath house, laundry, dump station and office concession stand. LP gas is available for purchase at the office.

    Golden River RV Park

    • Also located in Tallapoosa, Golden River RV Park lies on a ridge above the Tallapoosa River. Campers can fish, canoe, bike and hike the area. The campground has 21 sites with full hookups, picnic tables, grills or fire rings and a dump station. A bath house includes laundry facilities.
