RV Parks Near Water Country USA & Williamsburg, VA

Williamsburg is part of the Historical Triangle of Virginia, along with Yorktown and Jamestown. Colonial Williamsburg, a restored historical district, is a major area attraction. Another attraction which has drawn people to Williamsburg in recent years is Water Country USA, a family water park with rides, restaurants and live entertainment. Recreational vehicle (RV) campers who would like to stay close to Water Country will find many parks in the area, which will also put them not far from everything else Williamsburg has to offer.

    • Williamsburg KOA is a seasonal campground open from March to December. The campground has 370 sites, all with cable TV and 50-amp electricity. The KOA has two heated swimming pools, wireless Internet access and game rooms. Guests can swim or play basketball, volleyball or horseshoes. Even pets can get some exercise at the park’s Kamp K9 dog park . The campground also rents tent sites, cabins and bicycles. Visitors can also buy LP gas, snacks and tickets to local attractions on-site. Williamsburg KOA also schedules special events like the Summershiners children’s camp, June’s Summer Bash, July Fourth Celebrations and Halloween parties. The park is not only close to Water Town USA but also the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum, the Williamsburg Winery and Colonial Williamsburg.

    Anvil Campground

    • Anvil Campground is the only RV park in Williamsburg which has its own stop on the Williamsburg Area Transport line. Guests can catch the shuttle right from the park to Water Country USA, Jamestown, Busch Gardens, Yorktown and Colonial Williamsburg. RV sites have cable TV, complimentary wireless Internet, sewer, water and 30/50-amp electrical hook-ups. Each site also comes with a fire ring and picnic table, and a dump station is available on-site. The camp has tent sites and cottage rentals as well. Anvil has three playgrounds, a swimming pool, laundry facilities, horseshoes and a basketball half-court. Members of AARP, Good Sam, AAA and the military receive 10 percent off, as do emergency medical technicians, police officers and firefighters. All seniors get fifteen percent off, and members of the Anvil frequent guest club can receive an additional five percent. Stays of seven nights at both RV sites and cottages get the seventh night for free.

    American Heritage RV Park

    • American Heritage RV Park is a pet-friendly site just eight miles from Colonial Williamsburg. The park is set on 70 acres of woods and meadows, with each site featuring full hook-ups, 20/30/50 electricity, concrete pads and patios. Seventy sites are pull-throughs, and all come with free wireless Internet and cable TV. Many have room for slide-outs as well. Some are open sites, while others are shaded. American Heritage has a camp store, laundry and bath facilities, a dump station and a fenced-in dog run. Swim, hike, read, watch TV, relax in front of the fireplace or play miniature golf, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes or games. Members of the military, AAA, AARP and Good Sam get discounts of ten percent.
