North Carolina RV Parks Near I-40

Interstate 40 stretches across the state of North Carolina from the border with Tennessee in the West to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the East. The highway runs past some of the state's major cities including Durham, Greensboro and Wilmington as well as the Duke University, North Carolina State, the University of North Carolina and Wake Forest University.     • The Indian Springs Campground is located in the town of Hickory, off of I-40 exit 119 on the banks of the Henry River. The Hickory Metro Convention Center, Hickory Motor Speedway and shopping at the furniture mart are some of the local attractions close to the park. Guests at campground enjoy swimming and fishing in the river, basketball and volleyball courts and picnic facilities. The shaded RV sites are big-rig friendly with pull through access and come standard with water, electric and sewer as well as wireless internet access.

    • Birchwood RV Park is set in the heart of the Triangle Region of North Carolina in the city of Durham, about 5 minutes from exit 266. The cities of Chapel Hill, Cary and Raleigh are nearby as well as the local attractions of Bennett Place State Historic Site, Duke University and the South Point Mall.
