New Mexico RV Parks Near I-40

Interstate 40 runs the width of New Mexico, replacing the historic Route 66. The highway is an easy access point for many of New Mexico's attractions including the Southwest Plateau country in the east, Albuquerque--the largest city in the heart of New Mexico--and the natural wonders of the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest to the west in Arizona.     Palisades RV Park

    • The Palisades RV Park is centrally located in the heart of New Mexico in the city of Albuquerque. Twin Warriors Golf Club, Sandia Peak Tramway and historic Old Town Albuquerque are some of the local attractions found near the park. Palisades is pet-friendly and features wireless Internet throughout the park, propane service, laundry, showers and dumping stations for guest's convenience.

    Empty Saddle RV Park

    • The Empty Saddle RV Park is situated about 1 1/2 miles from exit 355, about 30 miles from New Mexico's western border with Texas. The Mesalands Dinosaur Museum, Tucumcari Mountain and historic main street in Tucumcari are some of the area's attractions close to Empty Saddle.

      Each of the sites is big-rig friendly with pull-through access and come with electric service and shared sewer and water hookups. Picnic facilities and wireless Internet access are provided throughout the park. The park is pet and livestock friendly with free horse pens available on site.
