Located along the state's famous Blue Ridge Parkway, Rocky Knob Campground offers not only beautiful views of some of the most scenic mountains on the east coast, but access to local historical attractions and hiking trails. The campground has 100 sites for tents and RVs, but there are no hookups for water or electricity in each site.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort, located only 22 miles away from the west entrance of Yosemite National Park, offers numerous sites for your RV. Premium sites come with full hookups and come either terraced for shade or open so you can get prime reception for your satellite television. Premium sites also come with fire ring, picnic table and hook-up for cable television. Yosemite Pines also offers standard sites with water and electrical hook-ups. Other amenities include a swimming pool, nature trails, petting farm and convenience stores. If you don't want to deal with the crowds in Yosemite National Park itself, Yosemite Pines gives a great option not that far away, but far away enough to feel like you're still in isolated nature.

Rivers Edge RV Park, situated on the banks of the Chena River, offers 190 sites that offer both full and partial hookups. Among the many amenities offered at the park is transportation to local attractions, so you don't have to unhook your RV to venture out. Other amenities include a restaurant, cable hookups, wireless Internet and a dump station. River's Edge RV Park is only open part of the year, usually late May to mid-September.
