Drive 15 miles north to the Shady Pines RV Resort for numerous wide and well-kept RV sites, many of which are pull-though sites. This year-round campground has daily, weekly or monthly rates.
The resort has a large bathhouse, a pool, a picnic area, a campfire ring, horseshoe pits and shuffleboard. The resort provides laundry facilities, and propane is for sale on site. A recreation room has a comfortable sitting area and pool tables.
The resort is close to the Brigantine Wildlife Refuge, which lies in the flight path of the Atlantic Flyway and is a favorite bird-watching area

Avalon Campground is approximately 16 miles south of Ocean City along State Route 9. Visitors can bring their own trailers or rent one at the campground.
Each RV site is in a shaded, wooded area and features 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric and water hookups as well as free wireless Internet. Some sites also have sewer and cable connections. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.
The campground has picnic tables, a play area, two large pools, laundry facilities, restrooms with coin-operated showers and fire rings. Propane and firewood are sold on site.
The campground has an outdoor pavilion and a grocery store that sells groceries and other camping supplies. Activities include volleyball, horseshoes, ping-pong, miniature golf and basketball plus bocce ball tournaments and softball games.

The resort has a large swimming pool, with a smaller one for children. For fishing, there is a stocked fishing pond, and also there is a freshwater lake for swimming and paddle boating. There are tennis, basketball and shuffleboard courts as well as beach volleyball and softball areas. Local beaches include Sea Isle City and Avalon for swimming, surfing and sunbathing.
