RV Campgrounds Near Tuba City, Arizona

Though it is the Navajo Indian Reservation's largest community, Tuba City, Arizona, is fairly small with just over 8,000 residents according to the 2000 Census, so facilities are limited. In town there is one budget hotel that also serves as the town's RV park, although there are other RV parks in the surrounding countryside. Attractions in town include the Explore Navajo Interactive Museum and the historic Tuba City Trading Post. Nearby attractions include some of the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in the country and, less than an hour's drive away, the Grand Canyon.

    • Located just a few miles outside of Tuba City, Cameron Trading Post offers lodging and an RV park with 21 spaces. Cameron Trading Post provides guests water, sewer and electric hookups and just one mile up the road, Conoco Gas Station has shower and laundry facilities. The lodge has a restaurant and gift shop as well and is just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon.

    Navajo National Monument Campground Tonalea

    • Set in the high desert near three Puebloan cliff dwellings, Navajo National Monument Campground hosts 31 campsites. Sites are equipped with picnic tables and parking areas. There is a bathroom area with a large service sink and running water. Although there are no hookups for RVs, RVs of 27 feet or less are allowed. The campground's high season is summer, during which time overflow is directed to a nearby campground with fewer amenities.
