DOC maintains a campsite suitable for RVs at Twelve Mile Delta. At 11 kilometers (6 miles) west of Queenstown, it is closer than the name suggests. It’s a standard campsite, which means composting or pit toilets, a water supply, picnic tables and cooking shelter, as well rubbish bins. The 36 sites are on Lake Wakatipu and regenerating forest surrounds the camp.
