Can you take pictures at the Chicago field museum?

Photography is generally allowed in the public spaces of the Field Museum, including exhibits and galleries. However, there are some areas where photography is restricted, such as in the following places:

- Certain temporary exhibits

- The Regenstein Hall of Gems

- The Cyrus Tang Hall of China

- Conservation labs and behind-the-scenes areas

It's always best to check with a museum staff member if you're unsure whether photography is allowed in a specific area.

When taking pictures, visitors should be respectful of other visitors and museum objects. Flash photography is not permitted in most exhibits, and tripods and monopods are generally not allowed.
