1. Fire Permit Required: A permit is required before any campfire or open fire is ignited.
2. Location: Fire pits must be at least 25 feet away from any structure or combustible material, and at least 15 feet away from any overhead wires or tree limbs.
3. Size: The fire pit cannot exceed 30 inches in diameter and 24 inches in height, and must be contained in a metal or stone container.
4. Fuel: Only wood, charcoal, or other solid fuel may be used in the fire pit. No gasoline, kerosene, or other flammable liquids are permitted.
5. Supervision: Fire pits must be constantly attended by a responsible adult.
6. Extinguishing: Fire pits must be completely extinguished before leaving them unattended.
7. Hours: Fire pits may only be used between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., and must be extinguished by 11 p.m.
8. Other Restrictions: Fire pits are prohibited in parks, parkways, and other public property, as well as within 100 feet of any public roadway.
