Custer State Park Lodges

Custer State Park, in the southwestern part of South Dakota, is an ideal wilderness retreat. Bison, which weigh up to 2,000 pounds, roam the land around Custer. These large mammals were once used by the Sioux Indians for food and shelter. Don't forget, as part of your stay, to drive down the winding Needles Highway (SD 87) where you will see plenty of odd rock configurations and narrow tunnels.
