With such a vast space of protected nature and so many things to do, renting a cabin and staying in the valley will save valuable time on your vacation and allow you to spend less time driving and more time exploring.

      Choose a range of dates for your trip to Yosemite, preferably 6 to 12 months before taking your trip. It is not unusual for cabins to be booked out this far in advance, and cabins become available 366 days in advance.

      The National Parks Service recommends visiting www.yosemitepark.com to find available lodging in Yosemite. You can book online or call the reservation line. However, www.yosemitewestreservations.com also offers cabin reservations within the park, which are only available by reserving over the phone.

      Choose a cabin, lodge or camping location in which you are interested and check its open season. Some accommodations in the park close during the off-peak season.

      Find the "Reservations" area of the website and scroll down to the month and date you hope to arrive and depart.

      Click on "Check Availability" to find a list of cabins and other lodging. Choose your preferred accommodation.

      Fill out your name, address and credit card information to book the reservation. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions before clicking "Confirm Information."
