During the spring and winter, whale-watching is a popular activity at Shore Acres State Park. While many people wouldn’t enjoy a winter vacation, windsurfers find that the Columbia River is in prime condition during the winter months at Rooster Rock State Park.
Oregon offers a multitude of campgrounds at state parks and recreation sites. Some campgrounds offer a mix of sites.
Choose the perfect location for your cabin or yurt vacation. Oregon state parks offer one-room and two-room rustic cabins, rustic yurts and deluxe yurts and cabins. Rustic cabins offer beds, tables and chairs, heat, electricity, outdoor fire pits and picnic tables. Two-room cabins and some one-room cabins include small refrigerators. There are no bathrooms or kitchens in these cabins.Rustic yurts are round tents attached to a wooden platform. Yurts offer beds, a futon, heat, electricity, coffee tables, outdoor fire pits and picnic tables.Deluxe cabins include all of the features of the rustic cabins but include bathrooms with showers, refrigerators, microwaves and televisions.Deluxe yurts, available only at Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, are larger than the rustic yurts and offer beds, televisions, bathrooms with showers and small kitchen areas with microwaves and refrigerators.
Reserve your camp site, cabin or yurt. Reservations can be made online or by calling 1-800-452-5687 and are accepted up to nine months in advance. Half of the campgrounds accept reservations, while the others are first-come, first-served. Reservations are accepted for all cabins and yurts.
