In the winter, your options will be more limited. Killens Pond State Park offers year-round camping and cabin rentals, while Delaware Seashore State Park offers year-round cottage rentals.
Camping is available at Killens Pond, Trap Pond, Lums Pond, Cape Henlopen and Delaware Seashore State parks. If proximity to the beach is what you are looking for, you can’t go wrong with either Delaware Seashore or Cape Henlopen State parks. If you enjoy pitching your tent or parking your RV next to a freshwater pond, Killens, Trap or Lums Pond State parks all are great choices.
Try a cabin or cottage rental. Cabins allow you to enjoy the outdoors without roughing it. Camping cabins are available at Trap Pond and Killens Pond. These two-room cabins offer separate living and sleeping areas, air-conditioning and heating, picnic tables and outdoor grills. Killens Pond cabins offer efficiency kitchens and bathrooms. There are no bathrooms or kitchens in the cabins at Trap Pond.Yurts, round tents mounted on a wooden platform, are available to rent at Lums Pond and Trap Pond State Parks. Yurts are furnished with beds and a futon and have electricity. There is a grill and water source outside. Restrooms are nearby. The most upscale Delaware State Park accommodations are available at Delaware Seashore State Park. These comfortable cottages feature two bedrooms, living areas with upholstered furniture, fully equipped kitchens, a bathroom, satellite television, gas fireplace, heating and air-conditioning, a screened porch and a washer/dryer.
