Drive to Elijah Clark State Park. Take U.S. Highway 378 toward South Carolina. If traveling via interstate, take I-20 to Exit 172. Drive north on Georgia Highway 43 to Highway 378. The park entrance is seven miles northeast of the city of Lincolnton.
Know the dates and times the park is open. Elijah Clark State Park is open daily from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The park office is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Camp at the park. The 447-acre Elijah Clark State Park offers a variety of campsites for various fees. Check out the official Georgia State Park website. See the Resources section below for camp details. There are 165 trailer, RV and tent campsites, one pioneer campground and 20 cottages, two of which are dog-friendly. There are also five picnic shelters and two large group shelters that seat 70 and 175 people respectively.
Enjoy water activities at the park. Elijah Clark boasts a swimming beach, fishing pier (with cleaning station and handicap accessible dock) and various boat launches.
Participate in other family fun at the park. Grab a putter and dust off your miniature golf skills. Take the little ones to the playground. Stroll along the park's 3.75 miles of nature trails. Visit the park's Log Cabin Museum (open April through November) for information about the park's namesake; Elijah Clark was a Georgia war hero during the Revolutionary War.
