Located in the community of Lake Toxaway, Seven Foxes is a collection of cabins set on seven acres. The area of the mountain where Seven Foxes sits is called "The land of waterfalls." Nearby are Pisgah National Forest and Gorges State Park, both of which are perfect spots for hiking or picnics. Guests may choose from five cabins which are all equipped with kitchens, grills, fireplaces and satellite television. No cats are allowed in the cabins, some cabins allow dogs over 15 months old. As of 2009, there is a non-refundable pet fee of $50. Owners are asked to clean up after all dogs both inside the cabin and out.

Barkwells is a pet friendly estate of cabins set on eight acres of lakes and open meadows in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Barkwells has eight cabins to choose from, each with a fireplace, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, television and wireless Internet. Amenities for the dogs are just as plentiful, including beds, food bowls, a fenced yard around the cabin, gated porches and dog doors. Dogs are free to roam the estate, play in the pond, as well as with the other dogs. When guests leave to go into town or sightseeing, dogs may stay outside the cabin in the fenced yard. All pets stay for free at Barkwells.

Hot Springs Log Cabins are tucked between the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. The cabins sit on 11 acres of lush land, and have become known as a popular honeymoon destination. The five cabins feature hot tubs, fireplaces, washers and dryers, full kitchens and baths. Certain cabins are dog friendly, including the Paw Print Cabin and the Hound Heaven Cabin. Hot Springs, as of August 2010, charge a one-time $25 pet fee for dogs. The entire amount of the pet fee is donated to the spay and neuter program at Madison County Friends of Animals.
