Vacation Cabins in the Arizona White Mountains

The White Mountains are located in Eastern Arizona and offer a myriad of hiking options during the summer and skiing during the winter. Several stocked lakes and streams provide plenty of options for fisherman looking to hook their next big fish. While campgrounds dot the mountain range, there are also plenty of cabins available for rent.
  1. MLY Ranch

    • Located near Greer, Arizona and only 200 yards from the Little Colorado River, MLY Ranch is located in the heart of the White Mountains. Activities available nearby include fishing, hiking and horseback riding. The ranch has two cabins available to rent. The Phoebe cabin has an exterior that dates back to 1870, but is filled with modern amenities, including satellite television and a fully-equipped kitchen. The cabin houses a king-size bed and two twins. The Marmaduke cabin overlooks the Little Colorado River and sleeps four. It, too, has satellite television and a full kitchen, but it also features a deck that overlooks the river. Rates vary by season and are available on its website.

    Lazy Oaks Resort

    • Located right next to Rainbow Lake, Lazy Oaks is a convenient place to stay if you plan to do any fishing or boating on your trip. Fifteen cabins are located throughout the grounds, with a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom options. Its biggest cabin sleeps 10 comfortably and several are located right on the lake. Each cabin has a kitchen with a coffee maker and fire pits are located throughout the grounds to make smores. Rates vary throughout the year and there may be minimum stay requirements for weekends and holidays. Pets are allowed.

    Antler Ridge

    • If you are planning a large gathering, Antler Ridge might be your best bet. Located near 30 miles of cross-country ski trails and and not far from the White Mountains primary downhill skiing area, Antler Ridge provides a convenient base for those looking to hit the slopes. It has recently opened up a 3,200-square-foot cabin that sleeps up to 16 guests. It also can accommodate smaller groups in its two-bedroom cabins. Each cabin has satellite television and wireless Internet. There is also a playground and a private, stocked pond on the grounds. Rates are available on its website.
