How Do You Tell How Full a Flight Is Booked?
Full flights can be a hassle. It's hard to find space for carry-on luggage and your row can be crowded, making flying an uncomfortable experience. However, it's possible to book seats on less crowded flights. The easiest way is to call the airline and ask how full the flight is for a specific destination and date, even if you have not purchased a ticket. If you have already booked a flight, it is possible to check the fullness online.

Log onto the airline website. Find the "Reservations" tab. Click on "My Reservations."

On the next page, select the option to enter an e-ticket number, credit card, e-mail address, confirmation number or frequent flier number. Enter this information and your last name.

You will be directed to your reservation. You will see your seat number, which is a letter and number. Click on this.

Find the graphic of your flight. Available seats will be marked so you can click on them. Seats in gray have been sold. Calculate the fullness of the plane by counting how many seats are left.
