Find out the balance of your gift card if it's not written on the outside. View your gift card balance by visiting 7-Eleven's website, clicking on "Cash and Cards," then on "Gift Cards" and then on "7-Eleven Cards" on the left side of the page. Enter your gift card number in the space provided and hit "View Balance." You can also find the balance by asking a 7-Eleven cashier to check it for you.
Head to the nearest 7-Eleven. Find the closest location by entering your zip code into the "Find a Store" section on the company's website or by looking in the phone book under "convenience stores."
Select the items from the store that come close to the total monetary amount on your 7-Eleven gift card. Bring your items to the cashier and pay by presenting your gift card. You don't have to use the entire card at one time. Be prepared to pay any amount over the gift card balance -- if applicable -- using cash or a credit card.
