Northeast Maine weather is something to consider when planning your Island Falls golf vacation. Nearby Houlton is home to Houlton Community Golf Course, a semi-private course, while Mars Hill contains a public course, the Mars Hill Country Club.

Big Squaw Ski Resort in Greenville is another area attraction that gets 15 feet of snow each year and features skiing and snowboarding facilities.
