Though most vacationers head to a Disney theme park to experience the "Disney Magic," Disney offers a host of packages and lodging at an assortment of island destinations around the world to appeal to many types of vacationers, from those seeking relaxation to those looking for adventure.
  1. Disney Cruise Line

    • The Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of island vacations, including cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. In addition, many Disney crises travel to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. Cruises to the Bahamas range from three to six nights, while trips to the Caribbean are offered as seven to 11 night trips. Other cruises that offer stops at Castaway Cay are available for up to 15 night trips. Cruises are offered year round, though some trips have limited availability. Disney Cruise Line offers an array of accommodations, from simple inside staterooms to extravagant suites.

    Adventures by Disney

    • Adventures by Disney offers an all-inclusive trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. This trip allows visitors to spend several days in Ecuador before cruising around the Galapagos Islands. Islands to be visited include Santa Cruz, Bartolomew, Santiago, Fernandina, North Seymour and San Cristobal. As of 2010, the trip is 10 days and 9 nights and is offered several times throughout the year. Some trips are for adults only, though most encourage family travel, with a minimum age requirement of seven years old. While most meals and transportation during the trip are included in the vacation package, airfare to and from Ecuador is not included.

    Disney Vacation Club

    • Disney Vacation Club (DVC) offers island vacationing at its Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina. The resort is designed to be reminiscent of a 1940s hunting and fishing lodge and offers 12 miles of sandy beach, an assortment of activity and entertainment options and both sit down and counter service dining options. In addition to DVC's Hilton Head Island Resort, DVC's Aulani Villas, located in in Ko Olina Hawai'i, is scheduled to open in early 2011. The resort will offer guests a beachfront resort with two restaurants, a themed pool with water slides, a marina, golf course, and spa, as well as a conference center. Both DVC members and non-members are eligible to book a room at DVC resorts.
