Guests staying at the Fort Wilderness campground receive all the benefits of staying inside Disney World. Anytime you stay at a Disney resort, you park for free (a $14 savings per day) at any Disney theme park. You can also take advantage of "Extra Magic Hours," special time in the theme parks each day for resort guests only. Staying inside Disney World also allows you to reach any of the theme parks or water parks very quickly, so you will spend less time traveling and more time playing.
Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground offers many different camping hookups, so you can reserve just the type of campsite you need. Choose to put up a tent, hook up an RV or stay in a fully equipped freestanding cabin with all the comforts of home. Different campsite hookups have different rates, depending on the time of year and the level of service required. All types have access to centrally located comfort stations, telephone banks and laundry facilities.
Fort Wilderness includes several pools and daily recreation activities like poolside Bingo, chess and checkers.There are two stables on the premises, one offering trail rides, the other offering pony rides. Kids will enjoy the two playgrounds and the nightly free sing-a-long and movie under the stars. There are two grocery locations in Fort Wilderness, along with fishing, biking and golf cart rentals.
Once you arrive in Fort Wilderness, you can use the free internal bus system to get from your campsite to the pool, grocery area or boat dock. You can also take one of Disney World's complimentary buses to any of the theme parks or any of the other Disney resorts. The campground also offers a free boat shuttle to the Magic Kingdom and the Wilderness Lodge, so if you enjoy traveling by boat, you can take advantage of this option as well.
