Four different campsite styles are offered at Fort Wilderness---partial, full, preferred or premium hook-up sites. Each campsite, regardless of style, offers water, electricity, cable TV, premium picnic tables and charcoal grills. Privacy landscaping between sites adds to the splendor of camping here. Air-conditioned comfort stations featuring private bathrooms, showers, ice machines and laundry facilities are located throughout the property. For an additional fee, high-speed Internet access is also offered. Partial hook-up campsites offer tent or pop-up campers and can accommodate either one camper and one tent or two tents. Full hook-up sites can accommodate one RV and one tent or two tents. Preferred hook-up campsites offer availability for one RV of any size and one tent or two tents. Premium hook-ups are located in a premium location and can accommodate one RV of any size and one tent or two tents and come with an extra-large parking pad.
Rustic cabins with fully equipped kitchens, a bedroom, outdoor picnic tables and grills are also available at Fort Wilderness. Each cabin is air-conditioned and has a bedroom with either a double bed or bunk beds. The living room has a pull-out bed, as well. A dining table seating up to six people is also included. Each cabin is equipped with a television, DVD, VCR and pack-n-play.
Campers will never run out of things to do at this resort. Enjoy a relaxing day on the sandy beaches of Bay Lake or spend an afternoon at the marina fishing. Take in the beautiful grounds by hiking the 2.5 miles of wooded trails or enjoy a guided tour of the natural wilderness area on horseback or in a horse-drawn carriage or wagon. Enjoy the tennis, volleyball or basketball courts. Cool off after a busy day exploring the parks at the pool or rent a Sea Raycer, pontoon or canopy boat at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre. Bicycle or electric cart rentals are also available.
Kids will love the arcade, filled with video and pinball machines. Each evening, the Chip 'n' Dale Campfire sing-a-long and movies are offered. Enjoy quality time together around the campfire while singing along with the lovable characters, followed by a classic Disney movie.
For parents looking for a night out on the Disney town, childcare services are available. A grocery store is located on premises, carrying all the camping essentials.
