    Leisure

    • Start your vacation with a cruise on the Songo River Queen, the famous paddle-wheel steamboat. The tour takes you along the historic Songo Lock to Long Lake in Naples and on to Sebago. From here, head over to the Sebago Lake State Park to indulge in any number of activities, from boating and canoeing to salmon fishing and hiking. The Park is open year-round and includes camping facilities.

    • Nature-lovers will have a great time at the Maine Wildlife Park near Lake Sebago. Here you can see over 30 wildlife species native to Maine, from bald eagles and coyotes to black bears and possums. There are plenty of family-friendly activities at the park, including feeding the animals and following the Wetland Trail. Families are also more than welcome to stay a while and have a barbecue or picnic.

    Beaches

    • For a more relaxed vacation, head on down to one of the region's many beaches. The half-mile sandy beach in Sebago Lake State Park is open all year round and offers shaded areas, a playground and picnic tables. Refreshments are also available from the beach concession stand. Alternatively, drive down Route 302 for a day at Tassel Top Beach. This public beach offers ample car parking, a nature trail, and grill and picnic area.
