Restaurants Near Town Hall in Seattle

Located in downtown Seattle, the Town Hall originally opened in 1916 as the Church of Christian Science. The church sold the Roman-revival building in 1998 and one year later the hall re-opened as a cultural community center, playing host to a series of guest speakers and musicians. Various dining options are situated within walking distance of the Town Hall.
  1. Sip Wine Bar & Restaurant

    • Sip Wine Bar & Restaurant offers a high-end setting complete with white linen table cloths, candlelight and floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as a lounge seating area outfitted with leather couches. The restaurant also features outdoor patio dining and views of the city's ultra-modern Seattle Public Library. The American cuisine-filled menu includes such dishes as lamb burgers and vegetarian ravioli, alongside such sweets as white chocolate cheesecake and mini apple pie. Sip offers more than 250 wines, available by the bottle or glass. Diners may also reserve wine flights, providing the opportunity to sample a host of different wines.

    Wild Ginger

    • Situated inside the Mann Building, the two-story Wild Ginger offers an upscale interior complete with towering white pillars, high-back booths and white linens. The upstairs lounge is particularly intimate, outfitted with oversized wicker chairs and candlelight. The pan-Asian menu features such entrees as pad Thai and Mongolian noodles. Beverage selections include a wide variety of imported beers and sake. The restaurant also includes a Satay Bar where diners view chefs as they grill up a wide variety of meats, served alongside pickled cucumbers and rice cakes.

    Sazerac Restaurant

    • Attached to the Hotel Monaco, Sazerac Restaurant features a casual setting outfitted with large booths, ultra-modern light fixtures and a brick bar, as well as hardwood floors and tables. The menu includes both small and large plate items, such as wood fired pizzas, pork ribs and steamed clams. Situated within walking distance to a host of theaters, the restaurant features a prix-fixe menu aimed toward hurried theater-goers and topped off with packaged chocolate chip cookies to go. The bar plays host to a happy hour Monday through Saturday, 4 to 8 p.m.

    Dragonfish Asian Cafe

    • The Dragonfish Asian Cafe is in the midst of the Paramount Hotel. The restaurant offers a relaxed setting, complete with blue tiled walls, palm fans, a full bar and an open kitchen for viewing. Make reservations, as the restaurant gets crowded, even on weekdays, starting around 5:15 p.m. The wait staff works quickly, however. Asian fare includes such dishes as Chinese five spice salmon, red Thai curry shrimp noodles and a variety of sushi rolls. Street parking is difficult to come by in this region, but try the nearby lot on Bellevue and Pike.
