Frequent fliers can earn bonus miles for flying eligible business or first-class tickets on American Airlines and some of its partners. Members can also get discounts and earn miles that can be redeemed for free travel. All card registrations must go through the American Airlines website.
Visit aa.com. Click the tab on the top of the page for "AAdvantage," then click "Join."
Enter the required personal information, which includes a name, address, country and password. The password is case sensitive and must be six to 12 numbers or letters.
Read the terms and conditions of the program, agree to those terms, then click the red "submit" button. The program should show a virtual version of the card.
Write down the code number for the card. American Airlines will send you an email confirmation and will send the card by mail.
Click on my account changes to see the amount of miles on the card, or edit your reservation preferences.
