Go to the your country's embassy in Malaysia to check out where local driving schools and tests are available. All tests and courses can be signed up for here.
Attend the five-hour road safety course. It is taught in Malay, the official language of Malaysia. You will be given a booklet to study for the written exam.
Sign up for the written test.
Pass the written test. The test consists of 45 multiple choice questions, and only four can be missed.
Perform 16 hours of driving lessons. These are done with an instructor with a manual stick shift car. You will also learn (if you don't know already) how to park.
Take the driving test. This consists of driving and parking. The driving portion is only about five minutes, while the parking segment consists of making a three-point turn, starting the car on a hill and reverse parking.
