The original Disneyland Hotel opened in 1955, shortly after the park itself. It stands near Downtown Disney and includes nearly 1,000 guest rooms and suites.
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel opened in 2001, at roughly the same time as the California Adventure park. It has an exclusive entrance to Disney's California Adventure, along with several restaurants and the Mandara Spa on the premises.
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel originally opened in 1984, but acquired its current name in 2000 shortly before California Adventure opened. It has a view of Paradise Pier, the faux boardwalk in California Adventure.
Anaheim contains a huge number of unofficial hotels and restaurants catering to visitors. The 37 "Good Neighbor" hotels--each of which has received Disney's blessing, despite having other owners--are just a short walk away and, in some cases, are literally across the street.
Disneyland Resort operates a massive parking structure called "Mickey and Friends" where day visitors may park their vehicles. A tram takes guests from the lot to the parks, and a monorail runs between Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park and Downtown Disney (providing access to all three official Disneyland hotels).
