Disneyland RV Accommodations

Disneyland has grown since that July day in 1955 when Walt Disney unveiled his vision to the world. Over the years the Anaheim park, built on what was once an orange grove, has added hotels, parking structures and a second park, Disney's California Adventure. Up until 1997 it was possible to camp at Vacationland, an RV Park affiliated with the Disneyland Hotel. Though that campground has been lost to the park's expansion, there are others in the area that put you tantalizingly close to the magic of the Mouse.
  1. Anaheim Harbor RV Park

    • The Anaheim Harbor RV Park is less than two blocks from the Disneyland Resort and is the closest RV campground. Purchase Disneyland Park passes at the RV park office, hop on the complimentary Disney Park shuttle and enjoy your visit with Mickey. If you want to come back to your RV before dark, enjoy the Disneyland fireworks from your campsite. The campground front desk also sells tickets and passes to other southern California attractions such as Knott's Berry Farm and Universal Studios.

The RV park has 60 sites in the rental pool, all back-ins, all paved and each site can accommodate an RV up to 40-feet long. All sites have full hookups with both 30- and 40-amp service available and are wide enough for slide outs. Campsites offer picnic tables and wireless Internet access.

Campground amenities include a heated outdoor pool, game room, showers, restrooms, laundry, mini-mart and putting green. Park facilities may be accessed by the physically challenged. Pets are welcome.

    Anaheim Resort RV Park

    • Located roughly one mile from Disneyland, the Anaheim Resort RV Park is larger with more spaces and larger campsites that can accommodate rigs up to 70 feet. This resort offers more to do on site and offers a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and recreation hall with 60-inch satellite TV, a book exchange, lounge area, guest computer room and coffee nook. Getting to Disneyland is easy via the Anaheim Resort Transit, which stops at the RV park's front entrance. Tickets to Disneyland and other southern California attractions are available at the front desk.

Anaheim Resort RV Park offers 130 paved spaces, of which 19 are pull-throughs. The pull-throughs are the 70-feet-long campsites, the rest are back-ins and measure 45 feet; they can accommodate most Class A rigs. All sites are wide enough for slide outs, offer full hookups and either 30- or 50-amp electrical service. Each campsite has a patio and picnic table and access to wireless Internet. Some campsites have been altered to accommodate the physically challenged. Pets are welcome but there are breed restrictions so it is best to call ahead.

Additional amenities include showers, restrooms, laundry, a sundry store that offers grocery items, RV supplies and ice and a dump station.

    Canyon RV Park

    • If you prefer camping in a more park-like setting but still want to be close to Disneyland, the Canyon RV Park is a logical alternative. Located 12 miles east of the Disneyland Resort, this tree-lined park offers 146 graveled sites, all with full hookups with 30- or 50-amp service and all wide enough for slide outs. Sites are separated by grass and most are shaded by mature trees. Only one site is a pull-through, measuring 80-feet long. The rest are back-ins at 65 feet in length. All sites have picnic tables, fire rings and wireless Internet access. Pets are welcome but there are breed and quantity restriction. This resort charges a fee for Internet access and for pets.

The Santa Ana River frames the northern edge of the park and some campsites are waterfront. Choose from swimming in the river or in the heated pool. Other activities include a children's playground, group picnic area with tables, a recreation hall with games and a horseshoe pit.

Additional amenities include showers, restrooms, laundry, propane station on-site, dump station, exchange library and store with firewood, snacks and ice.
