Make reservations at a character dining restaurant like the Plaza Inn on Main Street. You can enjoy a buffet meal while characters like Tigger, Captain Hook, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother and Winnie the Pooh stop by your table for hugs and picture taking. Many will even take the time to joke around, sit at your table and entertain younger children.
Encounter classic characters like Mickey and Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale just inside the opening gates or in the Town Square of Main Street, particularly in the hours immediately after the park opens or after parades.
Head to Toontown immediately after the park opens to take pictures with Mickey and Minnie in their houses with minimal waiting. Goofy, Pluto and Donald may also be hanging around Toontown Five & Dime shop in Toontown.
Visit Ariel's Grotto near Tomorrowland, Aladdin's Oasis in Adventureland or the Once Upon a Time store in Fantasyland to see princesses like Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Take pictures with Winnie the Pooh and friends like Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit in Critter Country near the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, just behind Splash Mountain.
Look for Toy Story characters like Woody and Jessie in Frontierland. They often hang around in front of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or in the area near the Golden Horseshoe.
Ask the cast member standing at the Information Board at the end of Main Street (near the entrance of Adventureland) if you're looking for a specific character. He should be able to tell you where and when you can find them in the park that day.
