How to Vacation with Toddlers to Disneyland in Anaheim, California

Don't let anyone ever talk you out of taking toddlers to Disneyland. You will hear some people say, "they will be too young to remember anything" Although that may be true, the Vacation will be an everlasting memory for you. I cannot say enough about how much fun and joy I had taking my Daughter to Disneyland for the 1st time at 2 years of age. It was one of the best Vacations I have ever been on. Seeing the "Magic" through her eyes is priceless.

Things You'll Need

  • Create a Packing List of all supplies you need for travel. As many of you know going anywhere with little ones, takes a whole entourage of items. I highly Recommend bringing your own stroller. Althoug

Relax, Don't over stress about forgetting anything. Disney has shops, and a Baby Center that sells items you may have forgotten like Diapers, Diaper Rash Cream. They are very helpful when it comes to assisting Parents.

Create a Packing List, Pack everything in Advance, So you can double check everything before you leave.

Remember to take a nap and/or break during the day. Disneyland is usually open late into the evening. So we like to start our days early, and then in the mid afternoon go back to the hotel to nap or take a swim. After that we head back to the park for Dinner , more fun. Plus all the good shows like Fantasmic and the Fireworks can be late into the evening.

Take advantage of Kid Swap/Parent Swap/Rider Swap, It has several different names. Basically it is a way for both parents to ride the High Thrill Rides that their little ones cannot go on without having to wait in line twice. So for Example. Dad wants to Mattehorn, Dad gets in line, while mom and the little ones hang out somewhere else, Dad asks the Front Line CM for a Swap Pass, Dad rides the Mattehorn. When he gets off he gives Mom that Pass. She enters through the exit (The Instructions on where to go for each ride will be written on the pass) And can bring up to 3 people with her. Mom gets on Ride in less than 5 minutes. Happy Family only had to wait in line Once call it Disney's No Parent Left Behind Act.. I know before they offered this, some parents would miss out on the big attractions because of the wait times to ride, they didn't want to leave their family waiting.

Take lots of Photos and Video. Disney Offers something called Photo Pass, Which basically is like having a Vacation Photographer. At major Interest Points (Such as the Castle) You will see a Photo Pass CM with a Professional Camera Taking Pictures of Families in Front of the Castle. Simply Wait your turn, They Will take your picture, and give you a Photo Pass Card, This Card will be your key to all your vacation pictures taken by these photographers, So when you see another photographer and want your photo taken, Simply give them your card and it will all go under the same account. Their is no obligation to buy any photos, You have 30 days to go into on the Disney Photo Places or Online to Purchase any combination of these photos. Great way to Get a Whole Family Photo without having to rely on a stranger who may or may not know how to take a photo.
