How to Book Direct With Walt Disney World in Florida

There are some benefits you will receive from booking your vacation directly through Disney for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Some of the benefits include being able to take advantage of specials, book dining and recreation experiences and be able to speak with a knowledgeable Disney representative. There are two different ways your can book your Disney vacation directly and that is by calling the Disney Reservation Center or going online. Either way you will be able to take advantage of current Disney specials and know there is someone there to help with your vacation planning should you need it.

      Go to the Walt Disney World website to book your vacation. To book your vacation online you will want to go to www.disneyworld.com and select the dates and number of people in your party. You will enter this in the upper left hand corner of the page and click "continue."

      Select the resort you wish to stay at. On the next web page you will have to choose from a list of resort categories, such as value, moderate, deluxe and villas. When you have selected a category you will then choose the resort you want to stay at. Next you will select any resort options that are available, including pool view, preferred or standard and water view. Before continuing to the next page you can add theme park tickets, dining plans and ground transportation options. When complete click on "select this offer."

      Review the vacation offer you have selected. Make sure the vacation offer is the one you have selected and has all the options you wish to add to your vacation. At the bottom of the page you will have an option to purchase vacation insurance. You will want to either click on "purchase vacation insurance" or "decline vacation insurance." Once you have reviewed vacation offer click on "book now."

      Log in or register for a Walt Disney World account. You will be prompted to either log in or register for a new account. If you have not already registered on the Walt Disney World website you will want to do so before continuing. The computer will walk you through the registration, which will ask basic questions, such as name, address, phone, email and questions about your Disney vacation needs. Now log into your account and complete the reservation.

      Pay deposit. If you are booking your Walt Disney World vacation less than 30 days out you will need to immediately make a deposit in the amount of one night's stay at your resort. If you vacation is more than 30 days away, you will have seven days to make your deposit.

      Call to book your Walt Disney World vacation. If you prefer to speak to someone when making your vacation plans you can call the Walt Disney World Reservation Center at 407-939-7675.

      Speak with a travel assistant. When you call the travel assistant will ask you specific questions about your upcoming vacation. To help save time on the phone, make a list of travel dates, resort choices, party size and any special requests you will need to make.

      Book the reservation with travel assistant. Once you have selected and made your Disney vacation plans you will then book the vacation by giving your name, address and phone information. At this time you can also add theme park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.

      Make deposit. You will have to pay the deposit equal to one night's stay at your resort if you are planning to visit in less than 30 days. If you are booking your vacation for more than 30 days out you will have the option to make a payment within seven days of making the reservation.
