Why has tourism declined in Sari Lanka?

Tourism in Sri Lanka has not declined. In fact, it has been increasing steadily over the past few years. In 2018, Sri Lanka welcomed a record 2.3 million tourists, up from 1.9 million in 2017. This growth is expected to continue in 2019 and beyond.
