Everglades National Park is 1.5 million acres of protected jungle, saw-grass and swamp land. This land was protected to conserve the habitat of many species. Just outside of Miami, visitors can find Billie Swamp Safari and take a guided tour with family and friends. Guest can choose from Air Boat Rides, Swamp Buggy Rides, a Critter Show, and exclusive tours. Guest opting for the Air Boat Rides will take a ride on an air boat through the swamps of the Florida Everglades and view fish, alligators, snakes, turtles and other forms of wildlife in their natural habitat. Those going for the Swamp Buggy Ride will explore wildlife on land in the Florida Everglades. This award wining tour, will allow spectators to see bison, bears, alligators, deer and maybe a Florida Panther in their own environment. Guest attending the critter show will be able to see some of the creatures from the everglades up close and personal, while asking questions and learn facts about the animals. Each tour has set rates available on the website, but there is no admission fee and guest may come in a see many exhibits on the property.

Jungle Island is locate on Watson Island, just minutes from Miami and is a wonderful place to spend the day. Originally established in 1936, Jungle Island is home to over 1,100 species of birds and 2, 000 plants. Visitors also get to see Hercules, the worlds largest cat at 11 feet tall and 900 pounds. This Liger, a mix between a lion and tiger, has held the Guinness Book of World Record for largest cat since 2006. On Jungle Island, guests will also find a variety of fish, reptiles, mammals and primates and plenty of exhibits.
