Research the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority operates a website full of helpful information about the city and its sites, including the Las Vegas Speedway. Details include hours of operation, location and tour information. See the link in Resources.
Plan your visit. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway website states that tours are available every day of the week. Tours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The tour includes viewing nine tracks, visiting a luxury suite and checking out the infield. The website indicates that laps around the track are subject to availability. Prices as of 2010 start at $6 for children under 12, seniors (over 55), military personnel and Nevada residents, and $8 for adults. Group tours are also available, but only by reservation.
Arrange for transportation. Unless you have your own vehicle or rental car in Las Vegas, you will need to arrange transportation to the speedway. Several cab companies provide service to the speedway, according to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway website.
Purchase tickets and enjoy. Tickets can be purchased at the "Speedway World" gift shop, which is also the starting and stopping point of the tour.
