Step back in time to the 17th century when you come to Ganondagan (pronounced ga-NON-da-gan), a Native American community that was formerly a Seneca settlement site. Learn how the Seneca's matriarchal society helped lead to the right to vote for women in the U.S. The democratic ideals of the Seneca people helped inspire the U.S. Constitution. Enjoy the three marked trails year-round and learn about how the Senecas placed value on the plant life there, which is used to create healthy cuisine still popular today as well as for medicine. There are free guided trail walks on weekends.
