First opened in 1933, 56 Auto Drive-in Theater is located two miles south of central Massena on Route 56. This old school open air movie theater plays movies nightly during the summer season. A snack center with burgers, slushies and other typical drive-in fare is located on the premises.

Open year-round, Robert Moses State Park is located on Barnhart Island and the mainland. Here you will find miles of trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and mountain biking. There is a nature center on site that is open during all four seasons, and pets on a leash are allowed with proper immunizations and paperwork. Snowmobilers are welcome during winter. During summer, boating and swimming opportunities abound. Camping is permitted from mid-May through Columbus Day.
