A crowd of about 1,500 attended the 1914 grand opening of what is known today as the Walton Theatre. With standing room only, opening night was such a hit that a special train from Delhi accommodated theater guests. Today, this theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it features movies, professional and amateur live entertainment as well as municipal, business and art events.
