Waterville U.S.A. is an amusement and water park that features a wave pool, lazy river, pirate ship children's area and water slides. Located about four miles from Gulf Shores in Orange Beach, the wharf is a resort and marina where you can find the tallest Ferris wheel in the southeastern United States.

Located almost 24 miles from Gulf Shores on Dauphin Island, Fort Gaines was built in 1821 and used as a fort during both world wars. Fort Morgan is a brick fort at the mouth of Mobile Bay, which is also about 24 miles from Gulf Shores. It was built from 1819 to 1834 and used during the Civil War, Spanish-American War and both world wars.
