Heritage Museum of Montgomery County

• The Heritage Museum of Montgomery is on Interstate 45 in Conroe, Texas. According to the museum's website, it features exhibits that chronicle the county's history from the lumber and oil industries to the current lifestyle of the people of Montgomery County. There is also a discovery area outside the museum that has a vintage tractor, railroad, sawmill and a replica of a 1930s service station on display. The museum's gift shop features museum-related items, books and variety of local cookbooks.

7 Acre Wood Family Fun Park

• The 7 Acre Wood Family Fun Park is an old-fashioned fun park. It features a petting zoo with a variety of animals including donkeys, llamas, chickens, goats, rabbits and baby deer. The park also has a miniature golf course as well as a western play town, a zip line and a sand volleyball court. There is a food and coffee house where you can grab lunch. Admission is $5 per person for a one day pass, as of 2010.

Village Golf Club

• The Village Golf club is a popular Conroe attraction for golf lovers. It offers three separate nine-hole courses. Each course has a different layout, suitable for beginners as well as seasoned golfers. Golf carts are available to rent. According to the Village Golf Club website, the club also has a practice range that features a wide range of target yardages across a 300-yard hitting area. Rates vary between $8 to $36, as of 2010, depending on the day of the week.

Crighton Theatre

• The Crighton Theatre is in downtown Conroe, Texas. The theatre is a historic building and was originally built in 1932. Now, it is home to a variety of performances from Stage Right Productions, Montgomery County Performing Arts Society and the Sounds of Texas Music Series. Performances are held almost weekly.
